Overview
We are pleased to announce the 2026 MySQL Contributor Summit to be held at Oracle's Redwood Shores, California campus on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The Summit is an open technical collaboration among engineers, developers and contributors. We will share our experiences and discuss upcoming roadmap development projects.
It will be a mix or presentations and discussions in a hybrid format.
This event is for technical development work and discussions on MySQL Community Edition.
Proposal Submissions
We welcome proposals from community contributors who would like to lead a technical discussion at the Summit. If you are interested in discussing a proposal, please indicate this during registration. We will follow up with registered participants to collect proposals and details.
For a successful feature proposal discussion topic please note the following:
- All proposals should be deeply technical, given by designers and implementors to designers and implementors.
- Each proposal should inform the audience and explore the present and future capabilities of MySQL, aligned with the Public MySQL Community Roadmap categories.
- Know your audience: attendees may not be familiar with your area of expertise, but a key goal of the summit is to inspire collaboration across the MySQL ecosystem.
