Oracle is pleased to invite you to attend an Oracle Narrative Reporting (EPRCS) Certification Readiness Workshop. Gain an in-depth understanding of the Oracle Narrative Reporting 2020 Implementation Specialist certification process and the various areas of the system that will be tested as part of the Implementation Essentials Certification Exam (1Z0-1083-20). Explore key system functionality and terminology that you will need to know to become a certified implementation specialist and evaluate the ways in which knowledge is tested in the exam. This course will equip attendees with all the necessary tools to prepare themselves for the Implementation Essentials Certification Exam.

Pre-requisites:

Significant practical experience with Narrative Reporting (EPRCS).

Audience:

Implementation consultants, developers and system administrators.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course learners will be able to:

Recognize the process for becoming certified for Narrative Reporting
Identify the key areas of the cloud platform that will be tested
Recognize the setup and configuration tasks that will be tested
Identify the Narrative Reporting specific features that learners will require knowledge of
Recall the format of certification exam questions
Ascertain how to look up information on system functionality where required

Course Description

In this course, students will explore the structure of the Implementation Essentials Certification Exam for Narrative Reporting, including the exam format and the type of content to be tested. Attendees will explore the certification process more broadly, from booking and taking the test to examining the retake recertification policies.

In addition to reviewing the certification process, learners will also explore the type of questions likely to be asked in the exam, giving them an understanding of the breadth and depth of knowledge required to become certified. Learners will discover the format of exam questions and prepare themselves for examination by testing themselves with a series of representative exam questions relating to all areas of the system.

Day 1: Solution overview, report package design, management reporting, narrative reporting, managing report packages
Day 2: Setup Disclosure Management, manage and modify taxonomies, mappings, XBRL tags

Chris Tonas
Vice President, Mobility and Development Tools, Oracle

Biography:
Chris Tonas is Vice President of the Mobility and Development Tools organization at Oracle. Mr. Tonas has spent his career focused on helping developers be more productive, with 18 years at Oracle and more than 20 industry years focused on tools, frameworks, and platform.

Mr. Tonas is responsible for the development and go-to-market for Oracle's Mobile Suite along with the cloud and on-premise Development Tools for the greater Oracle platform. His organization supports the application development efforts of Oracle's customers as well as those for internal teams, like the Oracle Fusion Applications, and participate in numerous open source activities in the Java, Apache, and Eclipse communities.

Vikas Anand
Sr. Director, Integration Products, Oracle

Biography:
Vikas Anand, Sr. Director, Integration Products at Oracle. He leads overall product management & strategy for Oracle SOA Suite and Integration Cloud Service. Mr. Anand leads a team of seasoned Product Managers in charge of Oracle Fusion Middleware integration products:Integration Cloud Service, SOA Suite, BPEL, Service Bus, B2B, Stream Explorer, MFT, API Management, Oracle SOA Suite for Healthcare, Adapters for Cloud and Applications integration etc.

Since joining Oracle in 2003, Mr. Anand has held various positions in product development, product management and strategy positions in different geographies. Prior to Oracle, Mr. Anand has worked in product & project development, and IT in Fortune 100 firms. In these roles he worked across diverse domains like Supply Chain Integration, Sales & Marketing Automation, Global Marketplaces & Industry verticals. He also developed software products as a part of a startup.

Solution Overview Explain the processes and methods relating to Narrative Reporting. Explore how to access source data, build collaborative reports using a secure workflow, publish and distribute reports and fulfil regulatory reporting requirements with XBRL tagging.
Report Package Design Learn how report packages are used to structure report content, assign content creation and review responsibilities and manage the collaboration between creators in the workflow to produce a unified document and identify key design considerations in this process. Explore Doclets and learn to build content using each of the available Doclet types. Learn about the use of static and reference variables and identify the available distribution options.
