Adding Structure to Your Portfolio Management Process Jeanine Vincent, Principal Solutions Consultant, Oraclee
Every organization has a lot of people working on a lot of projects. Is it possible to coordinate all of these activities without portfolio management? Portfolio management covers all areas of how a business changes, from idea to implementation and benefits realization. Project portfolio management doesn’t have to be so complicated. In fact, it can be easy to understand and relatively quick to implement. The good news is your organization is probably already doing most of the activities needed for functional project portfolio management. Now, you just need to add some structure.

Communicating Effectively with Analytics Jason Buettner, Senior Solutions Consultant, Oracle
Communicating pertinent project, program, and portfolio information is inherently difficult in an utility organization due to the disparity of stakeholders involved. Information relevant to PMO and project controls is different from that required by engineering and operations. Add in senior management, legal, HR, and external stakeholders such as ratepayers and the PUC, and the communication requirement list grows exponentially. In this session, we will discuss how utilities are leveraging analytics to effectively communicate relevant project and portfolio management across project stakeholder groups. In addition, we will demonstrate capabilities such as GIS data mapping, data visualization, and ad-hoc analysis.
