John Hagerty VP Product Strategy – Big Data & Analytics, Oracle
John Hagerty brings more than 35 years of expertise in business analytics and enterprise technologies and applications to his role of VP, Product Strategy for Oracle’s Analytics portfolio.
Prior to joining Oracle, John was VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner, the IT research firm. An analyst for a total of 16 years, he advised companies of all sizes and in all sectors globally regarding technology options, deployment best practices, governance and collaboration strategies as well as optimal cloud and hybrid architectures for business intelligence, analytics, and performance management applications. John recently published Gartner’s “2017 Planning Guide for Data and Analytics” and has been the lead author for Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms in the past.
John also took a two year break from Gartner from 2012-2014 and joined IBM as Program Director for Big Data & Analytics. In that capacity, he was an external spokesman for the IBM portfolio, created and managed sales plays/program execution, and developed overarching messaging for industry analysts and customers/prospects.
