What will we cover
This Boot Camp provides technical network professionals with the skills needed to successfully understand and configure the Oracle Communication Session Border Controller using advanced routing configuration models, advanced SIP manipulations using regular expressions and different ways of handling media. This course covers the fundamentals of DNS and ENUM, different uses of the SBC as B2BUA or Stateful or stateless Proxy (Session Router), regular expressions for more optimal SBC configuration and more. Pros and cons for many configuration options, as well as discussing case studies are included.
Learn To
- Configure the SBC for smart business trunking.
- Configure DNS, ENUM, local routing tables (LRT) and other elements for smarter, more efficient and advanced routing.
- Configure the SBC so it addresses less common media handling requirements such as media release and better bandwidth utilization.
- Configure efficient header manipulation rules using the power of regular expressions, conditioning, chaining and more.
- Test functionality of the above configurations.

Persons who require close familiarity with the SBC’s features, architecture, operation, and configuration and persons who on a day-to-day basis will perform any of the following tasks:

Demonstration Services Addendum
The enrollment process for Oracle training has changed. Your company will need to have Demonstration Services Addendum in order to attend the Oracle training courses.
If you do not have OPN demo services assess, the Primary Administrator for your company will need to apply and execute the agreement, and follow the next steps:
- Go to OPN Demonstration Services page
- Click on Apply -> Execute the Addendum in OPS
- Once the submission is complete, it will take 24-48 hours for the addendum to be approved.
Important info
This boot camp is delivered as a Live Virtual Class (LVC) and supports up to 8 remote student groups.
The remote workstation (Secure Global Desktop) assigned to each student group supports only one concurrent simultaneous session.
Participants in the same student group must be collocated and attend the LVC from the same geographical location (e.g. office room) and do the hands-on lab exercises together.
