In course of his work he was responsible for successful Oracle’s business development in emerging economies across various regions - Eastern Europe, Russia, transitioning sub-Saharan Africa and rapidly developing countries of Middle East.
He has been associated with IT business since the end of eighties.
As soon as ‘dot.com’ era began he joined Sun Microsystems Poland as a Product Marketing Manager for Middle Europe being promoted as Marketing & Channel Manager for Poland.
He graduated from the University of Warsaw, Institute of Information Science. Furthermore, he earned MBA studying at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management (94-96) under the scholarship of the Fulbright Commission. He also completed executive courses in the scope of Negotiation and Competitive Decision Process at Harvard and Wharton.
He was Vice President of Fulbright Alumni Association in Poland for last three terms. For the last 16 years he has actively supported the largest infant charity organization in Poland The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity – the organization that is working in the field of young patients’ life protection and their health treatment by collecting funds and buying medical equipment for children.

Alan is a qualified Cloud Architect, IT-as-a Service expert and Big Data Scientist and is a technology enthusiast with a bachelor in Computer Science, a Master’s in Business administration where his dissertation focused on the impact of big data dimensions on competitive advantage of Communication Service Providers and is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Communications and Software engineering. Alan believes that the information age of technology will bring Africa at per with the rest of the world as the internet has leveled the platform for communication and information sharing. In his previous jobs, he has been an Oracle partner as well as an Oracle client. Alan is an avid sportsman and has represented Uganda National Team twice as a rugby player, he also enjoys running the half marathon, swimming, cycling and squash.

| | Orfhlaith Ni Chorcora Alliances and Channels Leader, East Central Europe, Middle East & Africa (ECEMEA)
Orfhlaith Ni Chorcora has worked in the IT industry for 20 years. For the past 17 years, she has held regional and global positions at Oracle. In June 2015, she was appointed the Alliances & Channels Leader for ECEMEA leading a team in 20+ countries to drive Oracle’s indirect business via its extensive partner ecosystem. She also led Oracle’s cross-functional team to develop the Corporation’s expansion plan for Africa. Strategic engagements included work with several governments in Africa, and key Telecoms and FSI companies in Middle East and Africa.
Previous roles in Oracle include managing Oracle’s non-profit education initiatives globally, overseeing Oracle Education Foundation’s outreach program globally and collaborating with ministries of education and other government agencies to support their efforts in human capacity building. In July 2011, Orfhlaith was awarded the Oracle Women in Leadership award.
Orlaith’s motto is “walk on air despite your better judgement” (a Seamus Heaney quote) and reflects her philosophy to dream big, think positive and never give up.
| | Profile of Dr. Avinash Ramtohul (PhD, MBA, MSc, BSc)
Dr. Avinash Ramtohul has 20 years working experience in the IT industry in Africa including 11 years with Oracle in Middle East and Africa. He is presently the Country Leader for Oracle in Mauritius and Director for Technology Consulting in Sub-Saharan Africa leading teams based in Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Mauritius, Ivory Coast and South Africa. Mr. Ramtohul holds a PhD, MBA, MSc and BSc from University of Mauritius, University of Bristol, UK and University of Pune, India, respectively. His Doctoral Thesis specialises in Information Security for E-Government. Dr. Ramtohul is Chartered Manager (Chartered Management Institute, UK) and Chartered IT Professional (Chartered Institute for IT) and a part-time faculty member of Open University, Mauritius. Mr. Ramtohul has various academic publications and has presented several research papers in International Conferences, covering e-government, information security, e-learning and Leadership/Change Management. He has also published his work in respecte International Journal

relationship building to maximize business profitability across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Prior to Oracle, worked at System Access, Singapore and Financial Objects, UK as Business Development Director for Central and Eastern European (CEE) Region, and
at PricewaterhouseCoopers, managing cost reduction and process improvement project sales and implementations. Completed a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance degree at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.

Joined Oracle from KPMG Consulting in 2002 and has held senior positions locally in Hungary and regionally. After a highly successful assignment as Applications Sales Director (2009-2011), she was appointed as Sales Development & Strategy Director of Customer Experience (CX) in Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey. In July 2015 she joined the EMEA Digital Technology team and now leads the Digital Strategy execution in Eastern Europe, Russia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Boglarka is a member of the EMEA Women's Leadership Board.

based out of Nairobi, serving the Africa Operations region. He has worked with companies internationally mainly in Europe and Africa. A business and IT enthusiast, he describes himself as a technology evangelist with a business passion. Joe joined Oracle in February 2013 from Safaricom Limited where he had worked in various capacities for approximately 5 years. A finalist graduate student at the University of Liverpool’s Computing School, Joe holds a First Class Honors Degree in Computer Science from Kenyatta University. A certified business analyst and project manager, he thrives in challenges. In his own words “We are at the cusp of datafication (akin to what 1752 heralded to electricity after Benjamin Franklin’s famous kite experiment ) and everyone – businesses and individuals alike- should brace themselves for the whirlpools caused by social explosion and big data ceaseless proliferation”.

Mike Connaughton is the Leader of Oracle’s Big Data business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. His focus is on helping drive competitive advantage for Customers, Partners and Oracle. He particularly enjoys challenging ‘conventional wisdom’ and exploring what business benefits can be achieved through the creative use of enhanced information management and analytics.
Before moving to Big Data he was the Lead for Business Process Management and prior to that he was a Director for Oracle’s Security business in EMEA. He has twenty years experience working in the IT industry. Prior to joining Oracle, Mike was the EMEA General Manager at Sun Microsystems responsible for Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions.
Outside of work, Mike is a rugby coach, occasional visitor to the Cresta Run and a member of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation Guinness & Oyster Lunch Committee.

Francis Kuria has 23 years working experience in the IT industry including 6 years with Oracle He is presently a Solutions Architect directly responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure Consulting for East Africa based in Kenya, He previously worked as a Business Development Manager with Dimension Data and a Senior Consultant with Symphony. Francis is proud to be part of the first lot in Africa to get certified in Sun Microsystems, Oracle and VERITAS in 1999. A Bsc. Mathematics graduate from Moi University Kenya also holds a Diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). Francis is a member of Oracle EMEA Enterprise Architects group in addition being a member of some other products’ champions groups within Oracle.
Francis is known to be one of the top evangelists of Sparc/Solaris, Java and Oracle Database with the promotion of Oracle Engineered Systems as we transit to cloud IAAS.
Recent achievements have been Kurias contribution in the ICT infrastructure revolutions in the last four years mainly in the financial services and public sector.

Mr. Michael Weya is Cloud Infrastructure Sales Consultant, for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure systems, within the East Africa Region. With close to 18 years of experience in the information Systems industry. Michael spends significant portion of his time helping customers and partners within the East Africa Region, to understand Solutions around Oracle Cloud infrastructure, Oracle Engineered Systems, current market trends and innovative ideas on cloud infrastructure.
Michael hold a BSc(HONS) degree in Business Information Systems from Middlesex University-UK and a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Kenya Polytechnic University College. When not working, Michael enjoy nature and farming.

Moses Kemibaro is the Founder of Dotsavvy, Kenya’s first digital business agency which he established in 2002. Dotsavvy conceptualises, builds and manages high impact digital business solutions for a myriad of leading organisations in Kenya and beyond.
He also serves as the Commercial Manager in East Africa for the Perform Group, the leading global digital sports media concern that owns Goal.com, the world’s top digital destination for football content with over 70 million monthly users - and over 1 million in Kenya.
Moses is a seasoned digital marketing professional having worked in Africa’s Internet Industry for over 15 years. In 2012 he was the Sales Director for Africa at InMobi, the world’s leading Independent mobile ad network where he led sales in Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria and Ghana.
Between 2010 and 2012, Moses was the Founding Regional Manager at Dealfish East Africa (now known as OLX Kenya) which he grew from scratch to become the leading online classifieds on mobile and desktop in Kenya and Uganda.
Previously, Moses worked at companies such as 3mice Interactive Media and Africa Online (now known as iWay Africa) at the very start of Kenya’s digital revolution. Moses is also a multiple award-winning and often quoted TechBlogger at MosesKemibaro.com where he rants and raves about all things digital in Kenya and Africa.
