| Richard Noble OBE Challenger, Entrepreneur, Record Breaker
Not afraid of a challenge, Richard Noble OBE is an entrepreneur who has been pushing the boundaries with high stake, engineering feats for over 30 years. The holder of the land speed record between 1983 and 1997, Richard was the project director of the ThrustSSC, the vehicle which holders the current land speed record.
In 1995 his website was the fifth largest in the world, he used crowd funding before crowd funding was invented, and with his latest project he hopes to break the 1000mph on land with the Bloodhound supersonic car. With 500 sensors on the car and the driver, Richard is making this data available to schools to inspire the next generation of innovators, challengers and record breakers.

Alan co-founded PeerPay in 2015. The vision was to build a cloud based software platform for accountancy practices to help alleviate cashflow constraints that hold back SME businesses which have too much of their working capital waiting on prolonged payment terms with their large customers. Alan pioneered computer networking at the Science Research Council in the late 70s on one of the first computers on the Internet. This led to a career as a software engineer working on ground-breaking developments, such as the world’s first commercial data network and the UK’s first home-banking service for Midland Bank (HSBC).

The CCD is less than 10 minutes on the Luas Red Line from Dublin's two main railway stations, Connolly and Heuston. Operated by Irish Rail, these stations serve all the major towns and cities in Ireland.
The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) rail network runs along the coast of Dublin, from Malahide and Howth, to Bray and Graystones, providing transport from the city centre to suburban areas. Connolly, Pearse Street and Tara Street DART stations are all located about 10 minutes' walk from The CCD.
Tram (Luas) | By Rail, DART and Bus | The Luas Red Line (Dublin's light tram network) runs directly behind The CCD, conveniently linking to downtown Dublin and to Connolly and Heuston rail stations. For The CCD, take the Red Line towards The Point and exit at either Major Square or Spencer Dock.
Bus
Dublin Bus offers a high frequency, easy-to-use and accessible service across all of the city centre and surrounding areas. These services include city bus services, Airlink, Nitelink and DART feeder buses.
Busáras is the central bus station in Dublin for intercity and regional bus services operated by Bus Éireann. Busáras is just 5 minutes from The CCD on the Luas Red Line and is located beside Connolly railway station. | By Car | By Car or Taxi
The Convention Centre Dublin is just minutes away from Ireland's M50 motorway network and Dublin's Port Tunnel, making it easy to bring in supplies and equipment for your event. It is also next to the Samuel Beckett Bridge which spans the River Liffey, aiding access between the North and South of the city.
The CCD has its own underground car park, with over 2,000 spaces located in car parks nearby, as well as considerable on street 'pay and display' parking on North Wall Quay and adjoining roads.
By Air
Dublin is highly accessible for delegates travelling from the UK, Europe, the US, and beyond. Dublin Airport is just 15 minutes from The Convention Centre Dublin via the Port Tunnel and serves over 180 routes – including direct flights to all major UK and European cities and daily flights to the Emirates and several North American cities.

The Convention Centre Dublin's underground car park, managed by Euro Car Parks, has 320 spaces, 8 disabled spaces and a height limit of 2.1m. It operates from 7.00am to midnight, 7 days a week.
