Oracle's Systems and Processor: New Technology for Secure Computing
Bill Nesheim, Vice President, Software Development, Oracle
Renato Ribeiro, Director, Server Product Management, Oracle
During this session, Bill will explain how Oracle's Systems strategy and products are introducing new technology for secure computing. Renato will zoom in on the current M7 processor and its unique features.
12:45 – 13:15
How to run a secure and compliant Cloud with Solaris
Joost Pronk van Hoogeveen, Senior Principal Product Strategy Manager
Joost explains during this session why Oracle Solaris 11.3 is the world's most advanced enterprise operating system. Solaris is capable delivering a secure, integrated, and open platform engineered for large-scale enterprise cloud environments. Solaris enables organizations to quickly deploy enterprise mission-critical applications safely and securely with no compromise. Joost will zoom in on security and compliance capabilities needed in the data center today together with OpenStack, zero-overhead virtualization, and agile application deployment all in a single, supported cloud platform: Solaris 11.3.
13:15 – 13:45
SuperCluster : a Secure, Powerful and Extremely Cost Effective Cloud Infrastructure
Peter Wilson - Principal Systems Product Manager
Vamsee explains how Oracle SuperCluster M7 combines Oracle Database efficiency and performance with near-zero-overhead secure multi-tenancy and private-cloud management tools. Elastic configurations allowing a small system start easily scaling up as cloud demand grows over time. The Oracle M7 processor delivers better enterprise Java application and Oracle Database performance per-core than any comparable x86 systems. Oracle VM Server for SPARC and Oracle Solaris near-zero-overhead virtualization work in tandem with an ultra-fast InfiniBand fabric to allow for maximum performance and scalability with no wasted space, power, compute, memory, human, or software resources. This makes SuperCluster the best Secure Cloud Infrastructure for Database and Application consolidation.

Always on: Managing Computing Platforms and Clouds with EM13C
Prasad Pai, Senior Director of Engineering, Oracle
Prasad explains Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c "always on" cloud scale and resilient monitoring, the unification of hardware and software management to aid total stack management as well as enabling fine grain access control. Enterprise Manager 13c reinforces its ability to manage along two dimensions: vertically across the stack, and horizontally, within and across clouds allowing it to be the nerve center of IT operations
14:30 – 15:00
Networking for Cloud Datacenter, New Trends in Connected Data Center Infrastructure
Ameresh Iyer, Sr. Principal Product Manager
Ameresh explains how fabric virtualization technologies, for ethernet as well as Infiniband, being capable significantly re-architecting the datacenter I/O. He will touch on physical I/O consolidation and simplification, increased performance, dynamic I/O management, network isolation and the ability to migrate between I/O technologies and add new I/O technologies with minimal disruption. This enables datacenters to adapt to a dynamic, on-demand cloud model.
