Transforming enterprise-level supply chains can be challenging. With Supply Chain executives facing unprecedented challenges in terms of risk, compliance, visibility, and profitability, the need for supply chain transformation is pressing. On May 11th Oracle is hosting a niche initiative tailored for the modern supply chain executive.
Some of the key challenges that we often come across and we address during the evening:
Gaining visibility and control of transportation
Digitization of the supply chain & the internet of Things (e.g. Uber cargo, Mobile, Big Data in supply chain, 3d printing etc.)
Real-time visibility of assets (trucks, trailers, containers, etc) and resources
Finding the right balance between transport provider, logistics partner and supply chain partner
Managing supply chains that are extended geographically or organizationally
Finding the right balance between transport provider, logistics partner and supply chain partner
Optimizing scarce resources (e.g. lack of drivers/warehouse operatives)
