Industry Keynote: How Businesses are Harnessing Cloud to Spark Innovation and Gain Competitive Advantage.
Abstract Coming Soon
Oracle Keynote: Transform Your Tomorrow
Today's unprecedented industry transformation is creating the need for a comprehensive and integrated Cloud Platform that helps organizations develop modern applications, integrate across clouds, manage and analyze any data, and allow users to collaborate, share and mobilize. Attend this keynote to learn how Oracle Cloud Platform enables developers, IT professionals and line of business users to innovate faster, lower cost and risk, and gain a competitive advantage.
| TRACK 1: Modern Application Development in the Cloud | Track Summary: Developers want to build new applications, extend existing ones, and easily move on-premises workloads to the cloud with no application changes or new tools to learn. Likewise they need to collaborate closely with IT Operations and Lines of Business to deliver on their priorities. Listen to these sessions to gain insights into Oracle's New Cloud Platform for Application Development that enable developers to easily and rapidly develop, test and deploy web and mobile applications with integrated data management.
Session 1: Put Java in its Place: The Cloud
Java apps are for the desktop, mobile devices, server-side, client-side and will be consumed in future forms we haven't even seen yet. JavaScript for mobile and rich applications is becoming the norm. Java is everywhere and it's anything but boring these days, and we know you're up to the challenge! Join us to see how the cloud is changing the way you develop Java and JavaScript apps, connect and enrich them with data sources and manage their lifecycle from concept to delivery - for the cloud and your traditional systems.
Session 2: Quickly Build and Deploy Database Apps in the Cloud with Oracle Application Express (APEX)
What if you could rapidly build state-of-the-art web and mobile applications using a standard web browser interface, and not write a single line of CSS or Javascript? Learn how Oracle Application Express, a powerful application development environment that's included with Oracle Database Cloud Service, simplifies the application development cycle – taking you from prototype to production in minutes. Select from a variety of packaged production-ready business apps that can be installed with a few clicks and refined to meet your business needs. APEX also lets you create RESTful web services to access your data and build or run mobile and web apps outside the cloud using simple APIs.
Session 3: Get SaaSy: Customize Your User Experience and Extend your SaaS capabilities with PaaS
As a developer, you want to focus on the difficult core business problems, while your business users want to quickly customize SaaS apps. Did you know they can now do simple Web and Mobile app customizations with business user friendly tools? Simultaneously, you are freed up to quickly extend and integrate SaaS applications into the rest of the enterprise to get even more value from your SaaS investments. Join this session to see how the Oracle Cloud Platform for Application Development can get you SaaSy with PaaS.
Session 4: Mobile Developers - Get Your Head in the Clouds
Cloud and Mobile are the two biggest tech trends in IT. Simplify mobility from any mobile client to any backend systems with Oracle Mobile Cloud Service! Built on Node.js, Oracle Mobile Cloud Service provides the platform, tools, and services that help mobile developers collaborate with backend service developers to easily build sophisticated mobile applications faster, in a secure, scalable manner."
Session 5: Making DevOps Really Work
From hardcore Java EE programming to adopting microservice architecture as the norm, DevOps processes are key to getting a lot more done more efficiently. But actually making it happen necessitates both a technical and cultural change for a new level of collaboration across development, QA and operations. In this session, you'll learn some of the core technical and cultural shifts you need to keep in mind, and how Oracle is providing tools and technology to support you as you streamline your unique development, management and operational processes.
Session 6: Accelerating Innovation on Oracle Cloud - Opportunities & Resources for ISVs
Learn how you can leverage the Oracle Cloud Platform to rapidly develop, deploy and scale applications in the cloud – based on the same open, industry-standard technologies leading software vendors and enterprises are already using, including Oracle Database and Java. During this session, you'll hear how ISVs and application developers can use Oracle Cloud Platform services across a broad range of use cases. You'll also learn about specific programs, resources and commercial models, including opportunities to further promote your applications through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. |
