Pieter Bench is Vice President and Managing Director responsible for all Oracle’s growth, operations and profitability in South Africa. In this role Pieter provides leadership and coordination for all lines of business in Oracle South Africa.
Since joining Oracle in 1998, Pieter held various roles at Oracle including Vice President for Oracle University across Europe, MiddleEast and Africa based out of the United Kingdom and responsible for growth and profitability of a very dynamic education business across 60 countries where Oracle has a direct presence and classroom training facilities. Most recently the role of Vice President for Oracle Support Services in Middle East and Africa which included Oracle Customer management group and Support Sales groups.
Pieter’s goal for Oracle South Africa includes accelerated transformation of the local subsidiary, improving customer satisfaction andensuring that the Oracle Economy in South Africa has the required skills toensure successful deployment of Oracle’s technology.

Hanlie started her career in the ICT sector when she joined NASPERS before moving to MNET and Multichoice. She joined MTN at start-up and held different roles in the organisation varying from heading up the programme office consisting of business analysis, project management, data analysis and training, to a 4-year tenure as Head of Learning and Organisational Development in Human Resources. With a strong focus on customer experience she was appointed as the General Manager for Customer Experience Integration. As head of customer experience and the impact of the digital world, she progressed into heading up the digital team at MTN SA reporting to the CMO.
Hanlie focuses on business transformation and driving the vision of MTN – “to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world”. The outcomes of this role aim to deliver consistent, customer relevance across all digital touch points, including social media, to empower customers through convenient and effective self service, to drive growth through personalised digital offerings and to strengthen brand association between MTN and digital services. Mr. Sholay’s primary focus is market and business development which includes identifying new technology trends and developments and working closely with field sales & marketing to support Oracle’s strategic customers.
Mr. Sholay has experience of working on large scale IT infrastructure and transformation projects across all industries and regions. Prior to his appointment at Oracle, Mr. Sholay spent eight years with BEA Systems as Director of Telecom Markets, EMEA. In this role he acted as telecom domain expert for the company and was responsible for developing BEAs telecom strategy and bringing to market BEAs telecom product line; WebLogic Communications Platform.
Mr. Sholay also spent two years with ATG as Wireless Industry manager and two years with the e-business systems integrator Infogain as a consultant and later as practice manager for their advanced technologies group. Mr. Sholay started his career as a graduate with Sun Microsystems working for four years, initially as an engineer and then as part of the newly formed Java market development team which was the team that originally evangelized and brought the Java platform to market.
Mr. Sholay holds a BA degree in Business Management from the London Institute.

TOM KYTE TRACK | Tom Kyte Senior Technical Architect, Oracle Corporation
Tom Kyte is a Senior Technical Architect in Oracle’s Server Technology Division. Before starting at Oracle, Tom worked as a systems integrator building large-scale, heterogeneous databases and applications, mostly for military and government customers. Tom spends a great deal of time working with the Oracle database and, more specifically, working with people who are working with the Oracle database. In addition, Tom is the Tom behind the AskTom column in Oracle Magazine, answering people's questions about the Oracle database and its tools (http://asktom.oracle.com/). Tom is also the author of Expert Oracle Database Architecture (Apress, 2005), Expert One on One Oracle(Wrox Press, 2001/Apress 2004), Beginning Oracle Programing (Wrox press, 2002/Apress 2004), and Effective Oracle by Design (Oracle Press, 2003). These are books about the general use of the database and how to develop successful Oracle applications.

CLOSING KEYNOTE | Jean - Claude Michaca VP Storage Systems EMEA
Mr. Michaca studied at the Engineering School of Lucerne where he got an Electronics Engineering Diploma, followed by a Business Administration degree obtained at the Graduate school of Business Administration in Zurich, completed by a Post Graduate degree at the Lausanne IMD International Institute for Management Development He joined Oracle Corporation in 1991 where he held several Sales positions ranging from Global Account manager, Sales Director and Managing Director and Vice President in various parts of the organization.
He is currently the Vice President in charge of Storage Systems for Europe, Middle East and Africa
Mr. Michaca born in Lebanon in 1962, is a Swiss citizen. His native language is French and he is fluent in English German, Spanish, Italian and Arabic. He is also on the advisory board of several technology start-ups helping them developing their expansion and Go to Market Strategies.

| | Graham Mansfield Senior Director CRM, Oracle MEA, South Africa
Graham joined Oracle South Africa in April 2006 when Siebel Systems was acquired. At that time he was the Managing Director of Siebel South Africa, a position he had held for the previous 2 years having transferred from Siebel UK to take up the role.
Within Oracle South Africa Graham was initially responsible for the Sales and development of all of Oracle's CRM products. This role grew to cover CRM across MEA (Middle East and Africa) from June 2007. Early 2010 Graham moved into the role of Industry Leader CMUT Apps for MEA, and is the role he fulfils today. He also is a senior member of the Oracle South Africa management team and is based in Johannesburg.
Before joining Siebel Graham spent some 30 years working for IBM. Initially he joined the company in IT as a computer operator and then held a number of IT management positions including Strategic Planning manager for IT in EMEA based in Paris in the 1980's. On returning to the UK in 1986 he moved to sales and spent a long and successful career leading Sales teams focused on Financial Services in UK and for a 3-year period on Commercial Insurance in Europe and the USA.
In all areas of Sales Graham has been successful in growing revenues and Business coverage - in IBM, in Siebel and in Oracle.
Graham was educated in the UK and has attended many Business and Management development courses including training at INSEAD and the London Business School.
As part of the Oracle South Africa management team Graham is focused on the growth of CRM both in country and across the MEA region. He is also focused on a number of initiatives to develop IT skills in country both within Oracle and its partner and customer community. He is a regular conference presenter and host for Oracle in South Africa and across MEA.

Session: Customer Story | | Johan Koegelenberg Head: Government Motor Transport Transport and Public Works WESTERN CAPE GOVERNMENT
Johan Koegelenberg, was born in Paarl, Western Cape and is the current Head of the Government Motor Transport, which is a Trading Entity (GMT) for the Western Cape. GMT forms part of the provincial Department of Transport and Public Works. After Johan joined the ranks of the former Cape Provincial Administration in 1971, he obtained a National Diploma in Public Administration and is a certified Organisation and Workstudy practitioner. Both these qualifications were obtained from the then-called Cape and Pretoria Technicons. After an initial administrative career of ten years, he became an Organisation and Workstudy practitioner. He left this position in 1991 and became the Parliamentary Officer in the office of the Director-General of the Administration. In 2001 Johan joined the Department of Transport and Public Works and took up the position of Head of GMT. He played a leading role in transforming the organisation into a streamlined and efficient Trading Entity with an asset base of over 5 000 vehicles. The approach to move away from a paper driven environment and to shift into an electronic highway became his passion. The business is now performed via sophisticated systems driven by electronic work flows. The fleet management system that was developed over the last 15 years is now a fully-fledged ERP system which includes an accrual based accounting system, data integration from 3rd parties and electronic content and document management.
Johan’s ultimate goal is to move the organisation to the next level…towards a higher level of efficiency and cost effectiveness in delivering services to its clients.

Annelien is currently employed at Oracle Corporation in South Africa as Applications Sales Consulting Manager. She is responsible for leading a team of ERP pre-sales resources across South-Africa and SADC-countries, across all industry verticals, and across multiple applications.
Prior to her current role at Oracle, she has worked as an Applications Sales Consultant (from January 2008), being responsible for applications product focused presales capabilities, ensuring that it matches current and future demand of customers and prospects. For a large part of her time in this role, she was specifically responsible for the Financial Services industry vertical.
Annelien has more than 10 years experience in the IT Industry across multiple industries and disciplines, of which last six years at Oracle.

Sarah is Oracle’s Application Sales Consulting Manager for the ZA & SADC Cluster. Sarah has worked across Industries providing strategic advice to customers on Oracle’s roadmap and Business Application Solutions. She plays a leading role in crafting business solutions to best meet customer’s business challenges. Sarah currently leads a Team of solution specialists across the various competency areas: CRM, EPM and HCM. Prior to joining Oracle ZA, Sarah has been designing and implementing Oracle’s E-business solution for customers for more than 10 years.

| | Ronnie Toerien ECEMEA Competency Leader - HCM, South Africa
Ronnie Toerien was educated at Christian Brothers College in Springs and Kimberley, South Africa and studied Law through correspondence at UNISA.
His first job was at the State Attorney in Johannesburg.
He is currently the Human Capital Management Competency Leader at Oracle ECEMEA (Eastern & Central Europe, Middle East & Africa). Ronnie has been involved in Human Resources since 1990, first in Training and later in the implementation and support of HCM solutions. He also provided HR Consulting to various organisations as an Independent Consultant for several years before joining PeopleSoft as a Senior Solutions Consultant. He then joined Oracle as part of the acquisition of PeopleSoft in 2005.
Ronnie has over 17 years experience in PeopleSoft HCM and Qpac Payroll, over 8 years JD Edwards HCM and Oracle E-Business Suite HCM experience and also has a SAP HR Overview Certificate.
In his spare time he plays Action Cricket (both socially and provincially) and does research on Talent Management.
Ronnie has presented at numerous Talent Management events in South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana and Zimbabwe (including 4 HR Africa Summits) as well as being a keynote speaker at Oracle HCM events in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Mauritius and South Africa (including the past 5 SAOUG conferences). He has also spoken at various conferences in San Diego, San Francisco, London, Paris and Barcelona and most recently at the 2011 World HRD Congress in Mumbai where he received the Global HR Excellence Strategic Leadership Award. He occasionally guest-lectures to HR Master’s students at the University of Johannesburg as well as the University of Pretoria where he is also on the Examination Panel for Masters Students.
His greatest business lesson learnt has been that it is not always just about the money. Sometimes short-term losses may lead to long-term gains.
The best advice he ever received is to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve and then go all out to get it.
