Speakers | Paul O’Riordan Head of Business Analytics, UK & Ireland, Oracle
Paul has been with Oracle for eleven years and has been the Country Leader for Ireland since 2006. He has held a variety of leadership roles during this time including Head of Consulting, Technology Sales Director, Head of Middleware for UKI and most recently he has been appointed to lead Oracle’s Business Analytics Business for the UK, Ireland and Israel. An Electronic Engineering graduate of UCD, he has previously held Senior Management roles in Accenture, Pernod Ricard Irish Distillers and Horizon Technology Group (since acquired by Avnet). He is also a past Chairman of ICT Ireland.

| Nick Millman Managing Director, Digital, Data & Analytics, Accenture
Nick Millman is a Managing Director in Accenture’s Technology business with responsibility for Digital, Data & Analytics across Europe, Africa & Latin America. He works with organisations to harness the value of data and analytics to improve business outcomes. During the course of his 19-year career with Accenture, Nick has accumulated broad experience in this field including strategy and architecture formulation, business case development, requirements definition, technology selection, technology delivery and deployment. Nick speaks at external industry events and makes contributions to media articles on a regular basis.

| Sir Clive Woodward
Clive Woodward famously guided England to victory in the 2003 Rugby World Cup and three Six Nations tournaments, including an elusive Grand Slam. He has since served as Director of Sport at the British Olympic Association, working in partnership with UK Sport.
Early in his career Clive enjoyed success on the pitch, winning 21 caps as a player and twice touring with the British Lions. He also worked in business, first with Rank Xerox in the UK and Australia.
Clive was universally credited with bringing professionalism, cutting edge techniques and new management skills to English rugby.
After leaving rugby Clive became Technical Director and Director of Football at Southampton, and a UEFA qualified coach, before joining the British Olympic Association with a mission to integrate coaches and athletes from all sports into Team GB. London 2012 produced the most successful British performance of the modern era, with 65 medals including 29 golds.

| Rich Clayton Vice President BI & Performance Management, Oracle
Rich Clayton is Oracle’s Global Vice President for BI and Performance Management. Mr. Clayton is responsible for driving the global go-to-market strategy for products, channels and sales enablement for the BI and EPM markets. For the last 18 years, Mr. Clayton has been marketing enterprise software applications and technology for large, multi-national companies. At Hyperion, Mr. Clayton was vice president of product marketing responsible for go-to-market planning, product positioning, market strategy, sales enablement and pricing and licensing. Prior to joining Hyperion, Mr. Clayton was vice president of marketing for a venture backed startup focused on building online e-marketing services for Fortune 1000 companies. Before marketing enterprise software, Mr. Clayton worked in corporate finance for several years and was a public auditor with McGladery & Pullen. Mr. Clayton earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Loras College.

| John Cronin Group Chief Information Officer, An Post
John Cronin has over 30 years experience in IT. He started his career with IBM in 1974 and spearheaded the launch of the IBM Personal Computer in Ireland in 1980 before moving into a Project Management role.
John joined the An Post team in 1992 as the IBM Project Manager responsible for the implementation of the programme to automate the post office network using Riposte messaging platform. In 1998 he moved to An Post full time as Managing Director of Post Consult International, an IT subsidiary of An Post. Building on the success of the Riposte automation programme he implemented a suite of applications which enabled the delivery of a range of new products and services for the post office network.
In 2011 John was appointed Group Chief Information Officer of An Post with responsibility for delivering technology solutions across the entire An Post Group.
An Post is a major commercial organisation providing a wide range of services which encompass postal, communication, retail and financial services. It is one of Ireland's largest companies directly employing over 10,000 people through its national network of retail, processing and delivery points.

| Richard Hallett Head of Business Intelligence, Kent City Council
Richard is the Head of Business Intelligence at Kent County Council. He joined the Council in 1989 to train as an accountant. Having qualified in 2003 he then spent a number of years in the Education Directorate supporting schools and other associated Services, including Children’s Social Services. He was responsible for control of the £1.25 billion Directorate budget including the distribution of £800m of school funding. From there, Richard moved to the Enterprise and Environment Directorate, where, as Head of Finance and Resources he supported Highways, Waste, Environment, Planning and Regeneration. He moved out of the finance field in 2011 to deliver an Enterprise Resource Planning programme for the Authority, primarily to improve the use Council’s Oracle products including the introduction of Oracle Business Intelligence. This led to his current role as Head of Business Intelligence which includes responsibility for Performance, Risk, Research, Evaluation and Open Data.
Kent County Council is one of the largest councils in the country with some 44,000 staff providing more than 300 services for around 1.46 million residents and a gross spend of £2.1bn. Kent has a land area of 1,368 square miles and approximately just over 350 miles of coastline and is known as ‘the garden of England’.

| Helen Cansick Traffic Information Manager, Transport for London
Helen leads a cross-functional team in Transport for London (TfL), which delivers a range of information services to support the real-time operation and ongoing development of London’s road network. Helen’s portfolio includes leading the development of improved driver information services, most recently through the use of social media and improved data syndication. She led on the development of a Data Service for the Road Space Management (RSM) directorate, adopting OBIEE and ESRI ArcServer technologies in order to put more of TfL’s operational and spatial data assets into the hands of front-line staff and decision makers. Thanks to the effective implementation and use of BI, RSM staff now have daily, automated (and mobile) access to a range of operational information, which was previously difficult to access and time-consuming to analyse.
TfL was created in 2000 and is the integrated body responsible for the Capital's transport system. Its main role is to implement the Mayor's Transport Strategy for London and manage transport services across the Capital for which the Mayor has responsibility, including London Underground, Overground and Tramlink services, London’s bus network, London’s red routes, traffic signals and congestion charging, River Services, Taxi and Private Hire services, Barclays Cycle Hire, the Emirates Air Line and Victoria Coach Station.

| Graham Bell Chief Information Officer, City Of London Corporation
Graham is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the City of London Corporation. He joined in April 2012 and having completed an outsourcing and internal reorganisation of the Corporation’s IS Function he is now embarking on an ambitious change programme, assisting the Corporation to improve working practices, become more efficient and be better able to support its customers.
He has extensive experience in both the Private and Public Sectors, having previously led IT at Arup, the Global Engineering Consultancy. This broad base of experience, working in diverse and challenging businesses, gives Graham a unique point of view on how IT can best support and be a partner to a business.
Graham started his career as a Civil Engineer before moving into software design and providing IT Services, he is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.

| Remo Biagioni Management Information Systems Manager For Child Maintenance, Department for Work & Pensions, Child Maintenance Group
Remo is responsible for MI systems for the Child Maintenance Group. Since joining the Group in 2010, Remo has been the lead MI architect for the development and operations of the Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Warehouse platforms and manages the BI Competency Centre.
The Child Maintenance And Enforcement Commission was created in 2008 as a result of Sir David Henshaw's paper, "Recovering child support: routes to responsibility" which recommended a "clean break with the past".
Prior to CMG Remo spent ten years learning his trade as a software engineer on large scale global systems working for BT before leaving to found a web development company in 2002. After the company was bought in 2008, he joined one of the UK's largest search engine optimisation companies focused on data warehousing.
As a chartered IT practioner, armed with a couple of maths degrees and an MBA, Remo's passion is using IT to reduce costs and create new capabilities.

Michael is a highly skilled and professional programme manager with extensive experience in the financial services sector across a broad range of technologies and business divisions. He is currently responsible for the Business Intelligence engagement at ThomsonReuters.
He read Economics at the Université catholique de Louvain. He later gained a post grad in Computer Science from the Open University. Michael has built a career in all aspect of information management and analytics.

As the Enterprise Data Warehouse Manager at ICON plc Diarmaid is responsible for availability of operational data for analysis within ICON and to ICON’s customers. He has Extensive experience in architecting business intelligence solutions, programme management of implementations and leading design and delivery teams to successful completion of business intelligence solutions.
ICON is a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. They specialise in the strategic development, management and analysis of programs that support Clinical Development - from compound selection to Phase I-IV clinical studies.
Prior to ICON Diarmaid has had lead architect roles at both eircom, Ireland’s fixed line telecommunications company, and at Meteor Mobile Communications.
Diarmad has work in both Ireland and New Zealand having graduated from University College Dublin in 1995.

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in Information and Data Management, particularly focused on Data Integration, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence in Retail. Over that period he has worked for Coopers and Lybrand, John Lewis, Waitrose and has been with Morrisons for the last 6 years.
As MIS Manager at Morrisons he has overseen a transformation of the BI landscape from departmental based SQL server datamarts to a centralized Enterprise Data Warehouse running on Oracle Exadata Database Machines. This includes implementations of Oracle BI Apps for Finance and Manufacturing, the Oracle Retail Data Model for core retail transactions as well as a Retail Operational Data Store, Marketing Analytics database and Food Online Accounting datamart. This has been achieved using a blend of onshore and offshore delivery, multiple vendors and a blend of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Morrisons are the UK’s fourth largest food retailer with over 400 stores. Their business is mainly food and grocery – the weekly shop. Every week nine million customers pass through their doors and 132,000 staff members across the business work hard each day to deliver great service to them.

Kim is currently leading the NEP Shared Systems Group (NEPSSG) Reporting Team involved in the design and deployment of the Business Intelligence and Performance Management modules including training and support to the NEP Consortia.
NEPSSG provide a complete Finance and Procurement solution to the NHS which also incorporates the latest Business Intelligence technology, including pre-built BI solutions along with Enterprise Performance Management tools.
Kim joined the NHS in 1986 and has worked in a variety of roles including Audit, Finance and IT and for NEPSSG since its inception in 2002. He played a key role in the design and development of the current NEP Oracle Finance and Procurement template solution and is a part the NEPSSG Central Maintenance and Development Team that continues to develop and enhance the current NEPSSG solution on behalf of the NEPSSG Consortia.

| Claire Hyland Head of Serve Support, Virgin Media
Claire has worked in the Business Intelligence (BI) area of the telecommunications industry for the last 15 years using a host of different BI tools. She has been focused on using them, in what is a very data hungry environment, to deliver insight & information from data.
Claire is a qualified Prince 2 Project Manager and she oversaw the implementation of the analytics reporting platform in Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile. Claire and team are currently responsible for providing KPI's, MI and supporting Insight across Serve; covering Customer, Technology & Networks. They are called ‘Serve’ in recognition of the fact that our whole purpose is to serve their customers and colleagues on the front line.
As part of Liberty Global her focus has shifted to using analytics to understand and gain insight in the differences in performance. As such she has embarked on a new journey using Endeca recently.
