Sr. Director and Head Africa Transition
Cherian earned his Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Computer Science from Bangalore, India and earned his MBA from Michigan state university specializing in Entrepreneurial Marketing.
He is been in the ICT industry for the past 20 years & has worked with some key names in the IT industry namely VERITAS, IBM & Oracle. He has been working with Oracle for the last 7 years and worked in various Continents namely Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. He joined Oracle in Asia Pacific to head the Enterprise Performance & Business Intelligence team. Based on his strong performance he was elevated to head the Channels Business for India & South East Asia. He grew this business multiple fold & created a partner ecosystem which is now become the mainstay of Oracle Partner Business.
He has headed various bodies in Oracle to improve customer satisfaction & partner enablement studies & was also Chairman of the Partner Advisory Board in Oracle. He has been part of the Oracle Hundred percent club for multiple times. Based on this strong performance Cherian was handpicked to build Africa business known as Africa Transition Cluster and has been recently promoted to Senior Sales Director for the whole of Africa region. The objective was to go into remote countries & build Oracle partner & customers. He is Oracle’s Top Notch Talent and has been awarded the Top Notch performer in Africa for 3 years in a row. He has harnessed the local African talent & builds one of the strongest teams in Africa.
He comes with a strong background of positioning business software to large organization. Before moving into Oracle he was working for IBM for almost a decade.

Avinash Ramtohul has 18 years working experience in the IT industry in Africa including 9 years with Oracle in Middle East and Africa. He is presently the Director for Technology Consulting in African Operations leading teams across Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast and South Africa and Country Leader for the Mauritius.
Mr. Ramtohul holds an MBA, MSc and BSc from University of Mauritius, University of Bristol, UK and University of Pune, India, respectively. He has concluded his Doctoral research in E-Government. Mr. Ramtohul is Chartered Manager (Chartered Management Institute, UK ) and Chartered IT Professional (Chartered Institute for IT).
Mr. Ramtohul has various academic publications and has presented several research papers in International Conferences, covering e-government, e-security, e-learning and Leadership/Change Management.
