Building Great-Looking Usable Apps: Applying Oracle’s Best UX Design Practices in ADF
A 2-day workshop building apps with Oracle’s user experience design patterns, ADF and ADF Mobile
January 28-29 , 2014 / Oracle Office, Reston - US
To excel as an Oracle ADF developer, you need to know more than the properties and behaviors of components and task flows and go beyond code. Knowledge of user experience (UX) fundamentals, applications user expectations, and realizing user experience design patterns and guidelines when developing enables you to take Oracle ADF applications to a higher quality user experience. Oracle uses ADF to develop the new generation of enterprise applications, Oracle Fusion Applications. We’ve researched and proven usability best practices to guide developers in building apps that deliver on business requirements and provide end-user satisfaction.
Oracle is investing heavily in communicating the lessons learned from building Oracle Fusion Applications and we would like to share our experience with you. This workshop will teach you more about building your own apps and custom pages with ADF, leveraging the expertise Oracle garnered in developing Oracle Fusion Applications. We’ll focus on building applications and integrations using enterprise methodologies; on apps that are optimized for devices using cloud-based data that integrate task completion seamlessly at a new level of user experience for today’s enterprise users.
Learn To
- What a user experience design pattern is and what the key design principles behind enterprise usability are.
- How to browse and use desktop and mobile user experience design patterns to assemble a design prior to building with Oracle JDeveloper.
- Why and how to wireframe desktop and mobile application designs prior to coding.
- Transitioning from wireframe to code with hands on-exercises for Oracle ADF and an instructor led-example for Oracle ADF Mobile.
You will learn to leverage the Oracle Applications User Experience design patterns as building blocks for applications development, and to apply the best-practices learned from building Oracle Fusion Applications with these patterns. This workshop will enable attendees to build modern and visually compelling applications that look and behave like Oracle Fusion Applications, and that can co-exist with partner integrations and other new or existing applications deployment strategies. We are excited about this unique collaboration at Oracle, and we are just as excited to hear your feedback.
