Keynote: Oracle Database 12

: Engineered for Clouds and Big Data
Oracle Database 12
c
includes a new memory-optimized and multitenant architecture with a range of availability, performance, scalability, and security features that can help customers simplify database consolidation in the cloud, deliver database as a service (DBaaS), integrate big data into enterprise data warehouses, and derive greater efficiencies and cost savings with engineered systems. In this keynote, we'll discuss the latest database developments from Oracle, including the latest breakthrough dual format in-memory database technology.
Session 1: Performance Innovations with Database In-Memory
Enterprises are always looking for ways to make business decisions more quickly. Oracle Database In-Memory is a solution for accelerating database queries and enabling businesses to make better and faster decisions. Oracle’s unique approach leverages a new in-memory column store format to speed up analytic, data warehousing, and reporting workloads. Existing applications automatically and transparently take advantage of in-memory processing without requiring any changes or without losing any existing Oracle database capabilities. With Oracle Database In-Memory, everything just works faster. Learn more about the Oracle Database In-Memory option and how you can make better and faster database-driven business decisions.
Session 2: What’s New in Database Consolidation
Oracle Database 12
c
introduces a new multitenant architecture that offers greater utilization and scalability of server resources through simplified database consolidation onto private clouds. It fully complements proven database technologies such as Real Application Clusters, and effectively enables customers to manage many databases as one, without the need to change existing applications. In addition, Oracle Multitenant offers very fast provisioning and cloning of databases, rapid database patching and upgrades, and secure isolation of data. During this session, we'll examine Oracle Multitenant in some detail and explain how this new architecture works.
Session 3: What’s New in Database Availability and Protection
Oracle Database 12
c
offers a powerful set of high-availability (HA), backup, and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities integrated with standardized best practices for reducing both planned and unplanned downtime. Many of Oracle’s HA innovations are driven by increasingly stringent availability requirements from Oracle’s global customers, which see 24/7 demands on their own products and services continuing to multiply. Attend this session to learn how you can use the innovative HA and Security capabilities in Oracle Database 12
c
, and flexibly adapt these capabilities to meet your own service level agreements and requirements.
Session 4: Introducing Oracle Key Vault
Security threats and increased regulation of sensitive information have expanded the use of encryption in the data center. As the number of servers that encrypt data expands, management of server encryption keys, certificates, and other secrets has become a challenge for enterprises. Introducing Oracle Key Vault, which enables customers to scale deployment of encryption and other security solutions that require key management by offering robust, central management of encryption keys, Oracle Wallets, Java Keystores and credential files. Highly optimized for Oracle Database with Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Oracle Key Vault prevents loss of keys, secrets, and key storage files; mitigates forgotten passwords; and maintains consistent encryption key policies across the organization.
Session 5: What’s New in Database Management
Oracle Enterprise Manager 12
c
offers the next generation in database manageability with new capabilities that make it easier and more efficient to manage the latest release of Oracle Database 12
c
. Join us in this session to hear about Oracle Enterprise Manager 12
c
’s capabilities for managing Oracle Multitenant databases in private clouds, testing database consolidation, capacity planning, and quality of service management. Learn why only Oracle Enterprise Manager 12
c
is the best management solution for Oracle Database 12
c
—giving you better performance, more automation, and total control.
Fusion Middleware Track
Keynote: Oracle Fusion Middleware 12
c
: Modern Platform for the Modern Business
Competing in an increasingly dynamic and global economy, organizations need to focus on achieving market leadership, keep up with changing consumer demands and transforming their enterprises. With new emerging technology trends, enterprises are often left with little room for innovation. Imagine having the blueprint outlining how to take advantage of your existing IT investments in addition to embracing new industry leading technologies. Oracle offers a complete, open, and best of breed middleware solution that helps reduce complexity, simplify IT infrastructure, differentiate from the competition and innovate for the future.
Session 1: Introducing SOA 12
c
: Simplify Integration to Mobile and Cloud
Reducing integration complexity while adding the new integration channels of mobile, cloud, and Internet of Things may seem like conflicting goals. Integrating each of these channels requires specialized technology. Attend this session to learn how Oracle SOA Suite 12
c
was designed to accommodate these unique requirements in a single, easy-to-use integration platform. With common components, user interfaces, and management tools, Oracle SOA Suite 12
c
simplifies integration to give companies the application foundation they need to innovate and succeed.
Session 2: Introducing BPM 12
c
: Business-Driven. Complete. Best Practice.
Business processes are at the heart of what makes or breaks a business and what differentiates you from the competition. Business processes that deliver operational efficiency, business visibility, excellent customer experience, and agility give the enterprise an edge over the competition. Having a unified Business Process ensures faster time-to-value, business-IT collaboration and reduced total cost of ownership. With Oracle’s BPM 12
c
Launch you can successfully manage these processes while establishing the architecture to support fast data and mobility platforms.
Session 3: Cloud Integration and Navigating the Hybrid Cloud Landscape
Integration of cloud applications with on-premises applications in the modern hybrid cloud landscape may seem challenging now that your integration infrastructure is reaching outside corporate firewalls. Attend this session to hear about cloud integration challenges and how Oracle has simplified integration in the hybrid cloud landscape through a combination of new SOA 12
c
capabilities, Oracle Cloud Adapters, Data Integration 12
c
, and more.
Session 4: Private MWaaS Cloud: Complete Application Development and Deployment Environment
Building a private cloud has never been easier than with the Oracle’s Application Platform as a Service (APaaS) WebLogic Server release 12
c
and Oracle Cloud Management Pack for Oracle Fusion Middleware. This session will guide you through the lifecycle of creating, deploying, and managing Oracle’s APaaS from an administrator, operator, and developer point of view. Whether your priority is self-service, cloud operations, elasticity, or lifecycle at cloud scale, this session will highlight what Oracle APaaS offerings are available today and will preview what is coming for Oracle WebLogic Server for Private Clouds.
Session 5: Innovate with the Modern Platform for the Digital Business
Innovate! Or be left behind. Technology is advancing so fast today, that if you fail to embrace the advances and utilize it to effectively engage your customers, employees and partners, you risk falling behind your competition and the market at large. Attend this session and learn how Oracle WebCenter and Business Process Management (BPM) are helping businesses accelerate their “digital business” transformation to deliver the next wave of revenue growth, service excellence and business efficiency.
