Kevin Attard
Country Leader South Africa, ORACLE Corporation
Kevin Attard joined Oracle in 2004 where he was entrusted to open the Oracle office in Malta. Following the creation of a very successful business establishment in the country, in 2007 he was relocated to Austria to assume regional roles, starting with the setting up of Oracle Mid-Market business for Easter Europe region. In 2011 he was further promoted to lead the whole ERP & HCM business and as from June 2012 his role was extended to cover go to market strategy for the wider Applications solution footprint in Eastern Europe, CIS, Russia and Middle East Africa region (ECEMEA). This extended role mandated a relocation to UK, where most of the emphasis focused on the transformation of the region towards the Cloud. Very recently Kevin is entrusted with the Country Leadership of Oracle South Africa based out of Johannesburg.
Kevin has over two decades of experience in the technology industry. Prior to Oracle, he occupied executive positions Air Malta where he lead the Oracle e-Business suite implementation across the whole national airline’s operations. Earlier positions included CIO posts across various industries. Kevin holds a MBA from the Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, where he is currently also pursuing a Doctorate Degree in collaboration with Newcastle Business School specializing further on the Enterprise applications.
Nenad Pacek
President Global Success Advisors
Nenad and his businesses currently advise global and regional directors of almost 300 multinational corporations. He is founder and president of Global Success Advisors (global business and economic advisory) and co-founder of the CEEMEA Business Group corporate service (advisory for regional executives running Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). The advisory focus is on helping executives understand economic/business outlooks for virtually all countries around the world and on helping companies build strategies for sustainable growth in emerging markets.
Nenad is the author of “The Future of Business in Emerging Markets: Growth Strategies for Growth Markets” (2012), “The Global Economy” (2012), lead author of “Emerging Markets: Lessons for Business Success and Outlook for Different Markets” (2003, 2007), and a contributor to the book “The Future of Money” (2010). He is one of the world’s leading authorities on economic and business issues that concern multinational corporations seeking faster growth internationally. He performs on average two speeches/advisory sessions every week at various corporate meetings on issues ranging from global, regional and country level economic/business outlooks to best business practices for outperforming competition internationally. In corporate circles he is well-known for not using any notes or power point slides while speaking and engaging in discussion.
Nenad is former Vice President of The Economist Group (Economist Intelligence Unit) where he spent almost two decades advising multinationals on economic and business issues and managing several business units in Europe, Middle East and Africa and one business unit globally. He chaired over 100 Economist Government Roundtables with Prime Ministers/Presidents and their cabinets throughout Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Nenad is a board member of the Center for Creative Leadership. He is guest faculty at Duke Corporate Education, Notre Dame Executive MBA and a number of corporate universities.
He was educated in Austria where he studied international business, finance and economics. Nenad lives with his wife and children near Vienna, Austria. He spends his rare free time mostly with his family, but occasionally sneaks out to play basketball, tennis, golf and to ski and swim.
Dr Peter Tobin, CGEIT, PMP, PMIITPSA
Dr Peter Tobin has over thirty years of business and management experience across a number of different industries and in a wide range of roles. Dr Tobin combines real world expertise and experience with a solid grounding in global Best Practice and a clear understanding of how to achieve World Class performance, particularly in the area of IT Governance and Management and Data Privacy and Protection. Dr Tobin has published over twenty academic conference papers and journal articles, has spoken at numerous South African and international conferences and has facilitated in excess of one hundred workshops in a number of fields, including in IT Governance and Management and Data Privacy and Protection in the past twenty years. Dr Tobin has delivered workshops and consulting services in Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Germany, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe in addition to South Africa. Dr Tobin has run his own consulting company since 1994 on a part-time basis and three years ago became a full-time consultant.
Dr Tobin is a graduate of four universities: BA (Hons) at the University of York (England); Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies at the University of East London (England); MBA awarded by Henley Business College, graduating top of his class; Doctorate in the field of Information Science at the University of Pretoria. Dr Tobin has also been a certified project manager for seventeen years (PMP® - 1998; PRINCE2 - 2004). Dr Tobin is a Professional Grade member of both the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA replaced the Computer Society) and Project Management South Africa. Dr Tobin is also an active member of the South African chapter of ISACA, the professional body for those interested in IT Governance, and holds the ISACA USA certification Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). He was in 2015 elected to the Board of the South African Institute of Management and has previously served in a number of management roles for community, professional and service organisations.
